PRE SCHOOL FEES & FUNDED EARLY YEARS ENTITLEMENT
Our current private fee rate is £8 per hour (Correct as of April 2025).
We are open Monday to Wednesday from 9.15am to 2.45pm, and on Fridays from 9.15 am to 12.15pm. We also offer optional extended hours, between 2.45pm and 4.45pm on a Wednesday.
We are registered to offer Government Funded Early Years Entitlement to 2 year olds who meet the eligibility criteria and all 3 and 4 year olds. We are also registered to offer the 30 hours Extended Entitlement for Working Families Entitlement. However, we can only offer a maximum of 28.5 hours per week due to availability of the premises.

If you are eligible for funding and wish to it at our pre-school, you must let us know when you accept your place, otherwise we may not be able to make a claim for their first term.
We accept childcare vouchers and Tax Free Childcare.
Snack charge
There is an additional charge of £1 per day if you would like us to provide your child with a healthy snack. There is also an additional £1 charge if your child attends the Extended Hours on Wednesdays and wish us to provide a snack. Alternatively, you can provide your child with their own snack. However, to ensure we meet EYFS welfare requirements, any snacks brought in from home must adhere to our healthy eating guidelines.

The FEEE we receive from the government is intended to cover our basic running costs. These include:
However, Billericay Catholic Pre-School is dedicated to ensuring all children get the best learning experience possible during their time with us. We achieve this by planning a curriculum full of themed activities and special experiences. We therefore ask for a voluntary contribution of £3 per day (or £1.50 for morning only sessions) to help us cover the costs related to these activities.
These costs include:
Your termly invoice will include a discretionary charge, based on how many sessions your child attends. These additional charges will be reviewed annually, in line with our review of our hourly fee rate. However, as we operate as a registered charity, our committee will endeavour to ensure that any additional costs remain as low as possible.
Please rest assured that this additional charge is, and will remain, voluntary, and no child will be excluded from activities if their family chooses not to pay. However, if we do not receive sufficient contributions to cover our costs, some or all activities may be cancelled.
Other charges:
Late collection fee of £10 per additional 15 minutes or part thereof.
Late payment of fees: £25, plus daily interest of 3% above the Bank of England base rate charged on the outstanding amount.

- Staff provision within required ratios
- Basic craft materials
- Age appropriate activities and resources (puzzles, small world toys, basic props for imaginary play, construction toys)

- The purchase of resources for any activities linked to our weekly theme (eg torches for Autumn
- shadows activities, props for road safety demonstrations)
- Materials for special craft activities
- Additional staffing to facilitate Walkodile trips to local places of interest
- Costs related to Annual Nativity performance
- Costs related to Sports Day
- Healthy eating activities (eg bread rolls, vegetable soup, fruit kebabs)
- Dentist visit (provision toothbrushes for children)
- Cultural activities (eg food and resources for Chinese New Year, supplies for Diwali lamps)
- Nature activities (eg ladybird/butterfly kit and supporting resources, bulbs, seeds, soil and flowerpots)
- Costs related to our Teddy Bear’s picnic (summer term)
- Resources for making cards and gifts for Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
